Flash In The Pan: Galley

As Robert and Margaret stepped from the galley to the deck of the ship, they both knew something was wrong. There was a stillness in the air that neither one had ever felt before. Kind of like the stillness that you feel just before a storm or a tornado. Shaking off the feeling of dread, they began their moonlit stroll on the deck of the Titanic. The air was clear and the stars were extremely bright and beautiful. Random icebergs floated in the distance with a luminescent blue glow. Margaret was thankful that her new husband had brought her on this cruise for their honeymoon. Everything was so wonderful. As they reached the stern of the ship and prepared to turn and go the other direction, the ship suddenly lurched as if it had hit something. ” Thank God this ship is unsinkable”, stated Robert.

This is another installment of Flash in the Pan. The word was galley and the maximum word count was 150. My flash came in at 138. Check out the link to see what others are writing and to learn how you can. And once again, thanks for taking the time to check it out.

  1. I cannot imagine what it would have been like to be on the Titanic.
