Flash in the Pan: Forward

As a forward scout for General Custer’s 7th Calvary, John Hayes had seen many weird things. However on this day, he felt like a fool. While scouting the area around Wounded Knee, he heard a turkey call in the distance and was excited about his good fortune. When he found it, to his surprise, it had an eagle feather and black hair. He watched the Indian slump as he pulled the trigger once.

Welcome to flash fiction. The word is forward. Maximum word count is 75. I used 73. To see what others are writing, or to learn how to flash, visit Flash in the Pan at the M3 blog.
